It surprised me just how confident I felt after I *flawlessly* put my makeup on the other day Valentine's. Me and the boyf went to early dinner at Luck, Lust, Liquor & Burn in NQ and we watched - you guessed it - Deadpool. So prior to the movie, Tom said he wasn't expecting much from it but he was amazed at how funny Ryan Reynolds was throughout the entire movie.

All in all, it was a great day.

Oh, I got this top from Zara during New Year's sale.

Aloe there!

I'm trying to be healthier because I have a lot of self-image issues. I'm the type of person that cries over my old skirt that fits too snugged now. I'm the type of person that gets upset because I'm scared of gaining weight. So I'm trying to work out once a week by watching/following Fitness Blender on Youtube and they're so great. I love that my body aches the next day because of it. My emphasis however, is to maintain a healthier diet.

Shoutout to Simplee Aloe for sending me some aloe vera drinks/helping me be a little bit healthier!

I got to taste test two flavours and I have to say that my favorite is the definitely the Apple & Mango.

Simplee Aloe drinks are now stocked in Asda, Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Amazon, Whole Foods and others.
Some info on the drink: Each 330ml bottle - pictured - contains 35% pure aloe vera! They are also 100% natural with no extra preservatives or additives :)

I'm really happy that I got to try these out because I love aloe vera drinks + plants. My grandma used to make them as a soup-y dessert for me whenever I got a little overheated on the inside. Besides, aloe vera is great for the skin. It will work amazingly for a sunburnt (applied on the skin of course) but otherwise when consumed, it keeps your skin looking good - especially when it's still so darn cold outside.

Taste review
Apple & Mango: Silky but just sweet enough. Taste like apple juice but with just a little hint of mango.

Grape & Lemon: Tastes almost like those sourz sweets we all used to eat as a kid but this makes you feel oh-so-fresh. It'll be perfect serving as a wake-up drink.

Forgive me, cause I couldn't help myself with the pun. It just had me at aloe
Here, have a gif instead.

Fear of missing out / Day in Manchester

I'm whiny and depressed when I don't have anything particular planned - the boyf will confirm this as he deals with my shit all the time. And along with that, I have FOMO.

I'm a city girl. You know what happens when a city person lives somewhere that's not a city? They get bored and depressed. I mean, at least I do. I'm always saying to Tom how I think I'm missing out  because I live in a place where nothing happens. I'm such a fast-paced, impatient person it's actually ridiculous. Thank god Tom puts up with me LOL.

So how do I attempt to beat FOMO? By finding events to attend of course! Be it a concert, a talk or an art exhibition. Funny enough, I actually found something rather useful to attend a couple of days ago through EventbriteMost events on there are free so go have a look if you're bored - like me. Eventbrite also offers some great tools to help you plan and manage events of your own.

Anyways, I attended a talent day for students in Manchester Town Hall - an event I found through Evenbrite! How neat right? Oh I also took my new Nikon D3300 out for a spin! We had an amazing day eating Thai food, buying groceries in Chinatown and we bought bubble tea before we headed home. All in all, it was a great day.

Off to paint my nails now  and possibly binge-watch Bates Motel - I am so hooked! Hello Norma, hey Norman... and of course, hey there Dylan.

Unicorn, unicorn & more unicorns

Morning everyone.
So I was just going about my morning routine of *slowly* waking up by scrolling through my social media newsfeed and guess what guys. Apparently there are now UNICORN LIGHT UP SLIPPERS! I mean, unicorn slippers are mega cute anyways but... now there are some that light up too?? OH MY GOD. So yeah, I googled them and they did not disappoint. Here, let's all drool over how freaking cute they are.

I found these on and they're available for pre-order! I think this would be the best Valentine's gift for anyone. Ever. It's just so fluffy and cuuuuuute.

Tell me it doesn't make you happy looking at it. Now imagine wearing em. Ugh. Too cute. Oh and you know what goes well with it? ALL THESE OTHER UNICORN ITEMS. Yes. Yes. Yes. Please? I'm so sorry for the unicorn spam but I honestly woke up being a little obsessed. I've been sat here with my second cup of coffee, googling unicorn themed items and thought I would share it with you guys - so that I can spread the unicorn rainbow love.

1 - Despicable Me 2 Plush Buddies found here on Amazon.
2 - Skinnydip Unicorn Purse found here on Asos.
3 - Unicorn onesie from Kigu, found here.

Have a good weekend guys!

*cues Adele* Hello, it's me...

I said I'd be back didn't I?!

Well... over the weekend me, the boyf, Fristi, Nath and Winterburn attended Pangaea Level 10 in the University of Manchester. Honestly, it was a lot of fun! It was really cool that everyone was in costumes. The theme was retro video games and yes, you guessed it. We, along with about a few thousand others, went as Mario & friends! The boys all went as Marios, Fristi went as Princess Daisy and me as Princess Peach - again but sans fake blonde hair this time.

We got the Mario costumes from Afflecks in NQ, Manchester. Meanwhile, me and Fristi sourced ours from Primark and the kids' section of H&M. Where else would you find cute tutus? Oh there was about 18 tents in Pangaea but we only managed to visit 3. We really just stayed in Academy One the whole night through. It was still good fun though!

Update: I just bought a brand new Nikon D3300! YAY!
